I have noticed in the years of being an antique dealer that younger generations have any if any interest in collecting.  They don't want clutter.  They want to be minimalist.  I have recently found myself trying to get my own children interested in collecting so dragging them along with me is not so boring.  I can say my daughter who has just turned four has become quite the collector. At the time Donnie and I found out we were having a girl, I was at a point that decorating for holiday's was more of a chore than an enjoyment.  JB, my eldest, is big into the Christmas decorating but has little interest in the other holidays.  Somehow having a daughter changed everything.  Our 6 plastic, lighted, molded pumkins we started with has managed to grow to 200 pumpkins, 6 monsters, and trick-or-treat parties and nights Courtney will never forget.
